Is there a difference between 'duplication' and 'replicaton'?
Replication of discs is the most durable and highest quality method of manufacture, whereby each and every disc is injection-molded from polycarbonate pellets and is then physically imprinted with data. When you purchase a major motion picture DVD or other brand name DVD title you will be purchasing the quality of a replicated disc.

This is different than 'duplication' which is basically the same process that you would perform on your computer. The data on your master disc is electronically copied (also referred to as 'burned') onto a pre-manufactured recordable disc called a DVDR - the "R" stands for "Recordable".
